The default HKShip.exe (the original Sleeping Dogs executable) is notoriously unstable on modern hardware. Windows 10, Windows 11, high-refresh-rate monitors, and modern NVIDIA/AMD drivers do not play nice with a game released in 2012. But here is the secret:
Open it with Notepad. Change these values for a result:
